The Methodology

Track. Treat. Re‑measure.

Hard data in, hard data out. Every week begins with FDA-cleared baselines and ends with the same measurements taken again — so you leave with documented change, not impressions.

Track

Objective baselines using FDA-cleared TM FLOW vascular and autonomic analysis and WAVi EEG brain assessment.

Treat

Twice-daily light therapy and whole-body EMS sessions, personalized by Dr. Andersen against your baseline.

Re-measure

The same scans, repeated. You leave with hard data documenting the change — not just how you feel.

When other approaches have plateaued

The brain can adapt. We just had to prove it.

A research-driven, non-invasive program combining photobiomodulation and whole-body neuromuscular stimulation — delivering measurable outcomes that conventional medicine considered unlikely. Unlike clinics that use light or EMS in isolation, our approach is medical-director led and specifically designed to deliver objective change.

FireFly photobiomodulation light therapy device

01 · Light

Photobiomodulation

High-intensity infrared light therapy delivered via the FireFly platform. Peer-reviewed mechanisms include upregulation of mitochondrial activity, enhanced cerebral blood flow, and reduction of neuroinflammation — with applications in TBI, concussion, stroke, chronic pain, and wound recovery.

Neuro20 wireless whole-body EMS Smart Suit

02 · Signal

Whole-Body EMS

The Neuro20 platform — the first wireless whole-body EMS FDA-cleared as a medical device. 20 contoured electrodes engage 42 muscles in coordinated, patterned stimulation, re-establishing the brain-to-muscle conversation.

Numbers on a printout. Joy in real life.

Outcomes don't matter until they show up at a Sunday dinner, a grandchild's recital, a long walk after a longer winter. The stories below are why the program exists.

In Their Own Words

From patients who have lived it.

“We haven't seen this much improvement in years.”

My husband and I brought my 23-year-old daughter with transverse myelitis. After a week of treatments with the Neuro20 and the FireFly, we noticed great improvement in her gait and range of motion. We haven't seen this much improvement in years. Highly recommend!!!

“It restored my quality of life.”

I had become very slow to recover from exertion and I had very little stamina. Using the EMS suit restored my stamina, completely restored my balance and my sense of wellbeing. I use it now for strength and conditioning. Brand New Day works wonders for me.

“Recovery made possible.”

Nearly two years after surgical removal of infected tissue on my foot, the wound — as wide as a half dollar — had stopped healing. The wound care clinic had done all they could. After a few treatments with FireFly light and collagen patches, noticeable improvement; the wound has now completely closed.

“Months ahead of schedule.”

My hip was in a state of advanced arthritis — bone-on-bone, constant pain, surgery was called for. Thanks to a combination of light and EMS therapies, my recovery is way ahead of schedule. Both pre- and post-surgery, these therapies are effective, durable, and led me to a pain-free recovery.

Common Questions

ReTreatment FAQ

How long is a retreat?

One package is a full Monday-to-Sunday week. Many guests pair multiple weeks back-to-back — two, three, or four — when the goal calls for sustained neuromuscular work. Your medical team will recommend a length based on what your day-one baseline shows.

Do I need to be a current Brand New Day patient?

No. ReTreatments are open to anyone. New guests start with the same TM FLOW and WAVi assessments our clinic patients receive — those happen on day one of the week.

Where does the retreat happen?

All therapy and assessment sessions happen at our Lenexa, KS clinic. We coordinate nearby lodging recommendations for out-of-town guests; a fully bundled retreat-with-stay option is in development.

What happens during the twice-daily sessions?

Each session is roughly an hour. PBM light therapy is delivered via the FireFly platform; whole-body EMS is delivered via the Neuro20 suit. Both are non-invasive, low-effort, and don't require recovery time — many guests do both in the same visit.

Will my insurance cover a retreat?

ReTreatments are paid privately. Some individual services within a retreat (specific diagnostics, for example) may be reimbursable through your HSA/FSA — we provide itemized receipts for that purpose.

What conditions do retreats help with?

Concussion & mTBI, traumatic brain injury, stroke recovery, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's and neurodegenerative disease, chronic pain, range-of-motion deficits, post-surgical rehab, PTSD-related symptoms, long COVID, and drop foot & gait impairment are the most common reasons people join. If you're unsure whether a retreat is right for you, request information or call us — we'll talk it through.
